INTRODUCTION
Natural disasters such as volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, tsunamis, and environmental catastrophes significantly impact the lives and ecosystems of regions worldwide. Taiwan and the Philippines are particularly vulnerable to such events due to their geographical locations along the Pacific Ring of Fire. Hence, organizing an international summit focused on understanding, and mitigating, these disasters in the context of Taiwan and the Philippines is of paramount importance.
The conference's primary objective is to foster interdisciplinary dialogue and collaboration among scientists and researchers engaged in studying and managing natural disasters in Taiwan and the Philippines. By convening experts from various fields, the conference aims to share the latest research findings, technologies, and methodologies related to volcanic activity, seismic hazards, marine disasters, and environmental resilience. It seeks to create networking and collaboration opportunities to promote basic research, innovative solutions, and best practices for disaster risk reduction and management. Additionally, the conference aims to enhance public awareness and education regarding the threats posed by natural disasters, emphasizing the importance of preparedness and resilience-building measures.
